Quality hazelnuts come from Turkey and are a rich source of unsaturated fatty acids. Replacing saturated fats in the diet with unsaturated fats has been shown to lower blood cholesterol levels. They are loaded with antioxidants (e.g. vitamin E) that protect the body from oxidative stress. In addition, they also contain copper and magnesium and are a good source of omega‑6 fatty acids.
Our 70% chocolate is made from freshly harvested cocoa beans from the chocolate paradise of the Dominican Republic. They are supplied by Öko Caribe, a company of around 170 small farmers. They also plant other fruit‑bearing trees, such as mango and orange trees, among the cocoa trees to ensure greater biodiversity in the local ecosystem. Chocolate is a source of valuable flavonoids, which promote concentration and attention and are known for their antioxidant effect.
