Vilgain organic shelled almond butter is made from 100% blanched almonds roasted with hot air. We only use selected almonds that come from organic farmers from the Italian island of Sicily. Due to its climatic conditions, the area near the Etna volcano is suitable for growing almonds. The environment here is not contaminated and the collection is done by local workers.
During the blanching process, the almonds are gently stripped of their thin brown skin by heat. The butter then acquires a creamy color and the sweet taste of the almonds themselves is highlighted.
