Vilgain Buckwheat Honey – delicately bitter honey from the Polish region of Roztocze

Buckwheat honey is characterized by its deep amber color and distinctive bitter taste with notes of malt and molasses – which is why it is nicknamed “bitter honey.”

Focus on harvesting and processing

The honey comes from the nature of the Polish region of Roztocze, where we source it from beekeepers with a 20-year tradition. Here, bees collect nectar during the buckwheat bloom, resulting in this rare bee product. We extract fully matured honey using a centrifuge, which, unlike heat treatment, ensures the preservation of all valuable nutrients naturally present in honey.

How can you use it?

Its intense, slightly bitter flavor is perfect for marinating meat, preparing homemade BBQ sauce, or adding to coffee beverages. It gives dishes a rustic aroma and a darker color.
