Vilgain Organic Couscous Whole Wheat Spelt is a complex carbohydrate side dish made from ogranic wholemeal spelt semolina. Thanks to the fact that it is made from nutritionally rich spelt, it has several advantages over regular wheat couscous. It contains more fibre and protein so it will keep you fuller for longer. Plus, the whole‑grain version of couscous retains many valuable micronutrients that are otherwise lost when the grains are hulled.
Couscous is an absolutely fantastic ingredient for people who are always in a hurry or who don't enjoy spending time in the kitchen. It is ready in 5 minutes and there is no need to cook. Cover it with hot water in a ratio of 1:1,5‑2 (couscous : water/brew) and let it stand covered.
You can use it as a side dish, make risotto, add it to salads or use it sweet as a base for a dip.
