Vilgain Tomato Purée is not a tomato concentrate or water flavored with tomato aroma. Our purée is made exclusively from whole tomatoes. The tomatoes are first peeled and the seeds are removed, then they are ground and cooked until a smooth purée is formed. Thanks to this processing method, you can enjoy a true, intense, and unadulterated tomato flavor. This kind of purée also retains a much higher amount of nutrients.
We have chosen only the highest quality tomatoes – fresh, ripe, Italian, and from organic farming. Italy has optimal climatic conditions and fertile soil for growing tomatoes, which is reflected in their full flavor as well as their rich content of natural nutrients.
The purée serves perfectly as a base for various pasta sauces or pizza. Just mix it with your favorite spices, such as garlic, onion, or other herbs, and in no time you have a delicious tomato sauce. You can use it to thicken soups or, for example, in minestrone and gazpacho. It is also suitable for preparing lasagna, dips, and salsa.
The purée is a practical ready‑to‑use kitchen helper that has a long shelf life even without added preservatives and at the same time speeds up meal preparation many times over.
