Vilgain Salt Flakes are sea salt flakes in the shape of small pyramids. Salt is mined using traditional methods in the Mediterranean Sea in Cyprus where it is produced by the natural process of evaporation of water in shallow pools or lagoons called "salinas". It is then gradually heated in large pans where it is transformed into crunchy, pyramid‑shaped flakes. This process continues under the supervision of skilled craftsmen until the salt reaches 3% moisture and the desired size.
The small crunchy salt crystals will decorate and add sparkle to any of your dishes. Sprinkle them on meat, seafood, vegetables or desserts. They dissolve more slowly than regular table salt and crumble between your fingers.
