Vilgain Rooibos loose leaf tea BIO comes from the leaves and stems of the Aspalathus linearis shrub, which grows exclusively in the Cederberg Mountains of South Africa. After harvesting, the leaves are chopped, fermented and sun‑dried to give them their deep red colour and naturally sweet flavour. This distinguishes it from unfermented, green Rooibos.
Sweet fruity taste
Rooibos tea is known for its sweet flavour, which often resembles honey, caramel or subtle hints of vanilla; some people also find earthy notes. The advantage is the absence of tannins, which means that it does not become bitter even with prolonged steeping.
A natural, caffeine‑free antioxidant
Rooibos is rich in polyphenols. It does not contain caffeine and is therefore suitable for consumption at any time of the day, even in the evening before going to bed.

Instructions for use
- Pour boiling water over the tea at a ratio of 10 g (approx. 6 levelled teaspoons) per 1 litre of water.
- Leave to infuse for 5 minutes. Then strain. 3 infusions can be prepared.
