Potassium is one of the most abundant minerals in our bodies, contributing to normal muscle and nervous system function. The ionic form of potassium functions as part of the electrolyte spectrum in the body.
During intense training, especially during endurance activities lasting over 2–3 hours in the heat (marathons, cycling races) or during multiple demanding training sessions, there is a loss of potassium through sweating. Replenishing potassium from food can be difficult under such intense exertion. Vilgain Potassium is a way to quickly and easily replenish potassium.
Potassium is a key element for the human body involved in the transmission of nerve impulses between cells. It is crucial for the proper functioning of the entire nervous system.
Potassium helps maintain sodium balance in the body, thereby contributing to the maintenance of normal blood pressure. A balanced ratio of potassium to sodium is key for vascular health.
