Our fish oil contains omega‑3 fatty acids in the form of triglycerides - a naturally occurring form found in nature. Unlike the cheaper ethyl esters that most manufacturers use, triglycerides are more easily absorbed and provide more benefits to the body.
Omega‑3 fatty acids are prone to oxidation, which occurs on contact with air and reduces their effectiveness. The Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega‑3 (GOED) has therefore set strict limits for the oxidative stability of fish oils.
The Vivo Mega fish oil contained in Vilgain Omega‑3 capsules exceeds these limits several times over. As a result, it retains its bright color, stability and maximum potency.
Vilgain Omega‑3
Maximum acceptable value according to GOED
The fish oil contained in the capsules is produced exclusively in Norway by GC Rieber VivoMega AS, which has been processing fish oil for over 100 years. The legality and transparency of the fishery is evidenced by Friend of the Sea and Marin Trust.
Vivo Mega fish oil has several times stricter limits for the maximum allowable content of heavy metals and other contaminants that may be present in fish oil. In addition, it is tested for contaminants that are not monitored in competing products.
