Glucosamine is a substance inherent to the body and one of the main components of articular cartilage, where it binds water and lends flexibility. In a study [1], reduced subjectively perceived painfulness of the coccyx was observed in patients with osteoarthritis.
600 mg of chondroitin
Chondroitin is commonly found in the intercellular cartilage and gives cartilage its elasticity.
According to a meta‑analysis of the results of 8 randomised controlled trials [2], an improvement in overall WOMAC scores (pain, stiffness and joint function) was observed in patients with knee osteoarthritis when glucosamine and chondroitin supplementation was combined, compared to placebo.
400 mg Methylsulfonylmethane
MSM is a small sulfur molecule that is easily absorbable and utilisable by the body. In a 12‑week study [3], improvements in physical function and overall WOMAC scores were observed in patients suffering from osteoarthritis.
