Tallow Sunscreen Balm - reviews

I bought it based on my good experience with regular beef tallow, but this one is a bit different—it’s harder to spread and creates that white film that I really have to work into my skin🧽 😬 However, when I apply it after my skin is really well hydrated with some oil, the tallow thins out and it works😌 I probably can’t fully evaluate the effectiveness of the SPF, I mainly use it for the feeling😂👌🏽🌞

Unfortunately, the scent bothers me, as it lingers on me all day; my boyfriend doesn’t mind it, he even says he likes the smell, but I don’t share the same opinion :D You definitely have to keep in mind that this is a mineral SPF and it creates a white film on the skin, which personally isn’t a problem for me. It’s very thick, and because of that, at least it gives a feeling of greater protection from the sun, since it practically doesn’t absorb.

I commend it for having a completely non-toxic composition. I wanted to use it on my face, but I can't really do that. The texture is not ideal for my face (thicker and greasier), and it makes my skin turn white (like other mineral spf creams). For the rest of the body, it's a bit thick and could work to smudge, so for myself I can only see using it on my hands.
