Bean to bar - carefully selected cocoa beans with clear origins
The "bean to bar" label means that the entire journey from cocoa bean to finished chocolate is in the hands of a single producer, with no intermediate links. This allows us to guarantee maximum and stable product quality.
We are not dealing with mass production, which often uses pre-made chocolate of unclear origin and quality, which is just melted and transformed into table chocolate. The cocoa beans are single origin and come from Venezuela directly from the farmers there.
The rarest Criollo variety
Criollo is the most prized variety, but accounts for less than 5% of world cocoa production. These cocoa trees are very demanding to grow. However, the quality of their beans is incomparable to the classic varieties. They have a rich, creamy flavour without bitterness and a wide range of fruity, nutty and spicy flavour notes.
Cocoa beans and coconut sugar only
Conventional chocolates contain the emulsifier soya lecithin or vanilla flavouring, which, in the case of lower quality beans, improves the taste and masks their bitterness. Neither of these substances can be found in our chocolate.
