Vilgain Organic Cacao Nibs Raw unsweetened - flavour your food with quality cacao nibs from organic farming
They contain a minimum of sugar (1,5 g / 100 g), so they are naturally bitter. They stand out with flavour notes of honey, caramel, fruit and vanilla. They may be small, but they can do a lot of good: they are rich in good quality fats and protein (12%) - nutrients which, among other things, help to promote satiety.
They also contain a fair helping of minerals (iron, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, manganese, copper) and antioxidants (epicatechin, catechin and procyanidins) that protect your body from oxidative stress. They also help against inflammation and disease (especially cardiovascular ones) as well as helping to make your blood sugar levels more stable.
The rarest Criollo variety
Our cocoa nibs are from the prized Criollo variety. It accounts for less than 5% of world production. It is extremely difficult to grow, but the quality of the beans is incomparable to conventional varieties. They draw you in with their rich, creamy flavour without bitterness, with a wide range of fruity, nutty and spicy flavour notes. Sourced organically from local farmers in Peru.
It goes great where nuts go. For morning porridge, in desserts, sprinkled on ice cream, stirred into smoothies... They add crunch, chocolate flavour and micronutrients and antioxidants. A really high‑quality addition to your diet.
