Organic Gunpowder Green Tea – fresh, slightly bitter taste from young tea leaves, contributes to concentration and mental refreshment

Vilgain Gunpowder Green Tea BIO – young tea leaves with a tangy taste

Gunpowder green tea of the Temple of Heaven grade is known for its slightly bitter taste with a subtle smoky undertone. Compared to other varieties, it has a medium to stronger aroma with a hint of freshly cut grass. It comes from China, where this type of tea has been grown and valued for its quality since the 7th century. Temple of Heaven represents a higher grade of this tea, traditionally rolled into small pellets resembling gunpowder, which gave it its name.

Traditional processing method for perfect taste

Our Gunpowder requires hand-picked young leaves of high quality, which undergo almost no oxidation – this process is stopped by drying, so the leaves retain their distinct green color and high content of essential oils. While still warm, the leaves are processed into tight pellets using special machines, which protect their aroma and ensure long shelf life. This process gives the tea its typical flavor.

Refreshment any time of day

Green tea is a natural source of caffeine, L-theanine, and antioxidants (polyphenols). Thanks to its natural caffeine content and active compounds, it helps promote mental alertness and supports concentration throughout the day. It is an ideal choice for morning or afternoon refreshment.

Suggested preparation

Use 7 g of tea per 500 ml of water at a temperature of 75–80 °C and steep for 1–3 minutes. For a combination with mint, you can extend the steeping time up to 10 minutes.
For iced tea, use 7–10 g of tea, pour water at 75–80 °C, let steep for 10 minutes up to half an hour, and pour into a larger jug over ice. For extra refreshment, add slices of lemon, lime, or a few mint leaves.

A good green tea with a very pleasant aroma, I have never had a better green tea, and in the summer I make a great refreshing drink from it with ice cubes, lemon slices, and fresh mint leaves—it always refreshes me wonderfully. High and guaranteed quality, I recommend it.

Strong-tasting tea

Excellent tea, it has helped me several times even with headaches. Personally, it works for me better than coffee.
