Hello, omega 3 is considered safe for children, see https://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Omega3FattyAcids-Consumer/ for recommended dosages. As for the form, we would recommend a liquid product for younger children, they may have trouble swallowing the capsules. Have a nice day
