Broth can be an exceptionally good base for soups, sauces, marinades and many other dishes. However, it takes a couple of hours to prepare such an honest broth and a bouillon cube is a poor substitute. Try our ready‑to‑use chicken stock that tastes like it's just cooked. Made with organic, locally sourced ingredients, with a subtle flavor and tons of micronutrients.

Broth made with only local, organic ingredients

...and from ingredients that really belong there. 91 % chicken bones, root vegetables, garlic and herbs. That's it. No salt, flavour enhancers or preservatives in the ingredients. The chicken meat and most of the vegetables used are sourced from local farms in Belgium, and artisanally processed.

Slow drawn broth with extra strength

Vilgain Chicken broth is first boiled for a minimum of 24 hours and contains at least 1 kg of meat and bones per 1 litre of final broth (but don't look for pieces of meat in the broth). This ensures not only a distinct flavor and aroma, but also a ton of nutritional benefits. Bones are a rich source of calcium and phosphorus, which you also need for healthy bones and joints. Chicken broth also contains gelatin, which is good for joints and digestion, and can also boost your immune system thanks to its high mineral content (sodium, magnesium, potassium, sulfur, and silicon, among many others).

Use chicken broth as a base for soups (like ramen), sauces, risottos, poke balls, or pour it over Chinese noodles. Just add broth instead of water and you're halfway done, plus you can do without using bouillon cubes full of artificial additives.

Recommendations for preparation

Excellent, I add to sauces.

Great smell and taste. Used it for soup

Great, just add vegetables or just pour over potatoes as a sauce. Just salty enough.

I appreciate that the broths are less salty, so I can keep an eye on the salt content and not change the saltiness of my cooked foods. It smells lovely, so I diluted it almost 1:3 and it was just right with a pinch of salt, but we like thicker soups in our house.
