Our organic chickpeas are a very popular and nutritious legume that has recently become a regular part of many a healthy and nutritionally balanced diet due to their incredibly wide range of uses and delicious nutty flavour. In addition to its high proportion of complex carbohydrates, it is also rich in vegetable protein and fibre. It also contains significant amounts of minerals - iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and copper - and B vitamins, which help maintain a healthy heart, bones and immune system.
You can throw it into salads, use it to make falafel or make the popular hummus (even sweet) - just blend the chickpeas, add tahini and oil and season to your liking. Oven‑roasted spicy chickpeas are a nice healthier "snack" option for TV or flash summer salads.
