Oatmeal is not like oatmeal. We did a really honest job with our selection and our choice fell on flakes originating from Finland - it is characterized by unique climatic conditions for growing oats.
The roots of the company that supplies us with flakes go back to 1928, and their main mill, which uses energy from renewable sources, in which oatmeal is obtained, is the oldest in Finland.
Through thorough and careful procedures, we obtain large wholemeal flakes that will captivate you with a pleasant hazelnut taste, fresh aroma and typical light colour. They have a slightly coarser texture than classic oatmeal but are still very fine compared to regular jumbo oats.
Thanks to its size, Jumbo Oats are great for preparing granola, flapjacks and biscuits, which give them the right texture. Of course, they are also suitable for classic oatmeal, smoothies, yoghurt and other dairy products. Compared to conventional flakes, however, it dissolves a little longer.
Some athletes mix them with whey protein to get a tasty and balanced meal that meets the strictest nutritional criteria.
Jumbo Oats contain 11 grams of fibre in 100 grams, making them a really rich source of fibre. Oatmeal is known for being an interesting source of so‑called beta‑glucans.
Oat beta‑glucan has been shown to lower blood cholesterol. The beneficial effect is achieved on the basis of a daily intake of 3 g of oat beta‑glucan.
